Abstract

Um dos estudos linguísticos mais realizados nas quatro últimas décadas tem sido realizado com base na Sociolinguística, mais especificamente a variação linguística. Neste texto, observamos e analisamos como falantes utilizam a expressão “logo ali”, em respostas dadas a questionamentos sobre localização de lugares próximos aos falantes. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa, uma vez que buscamos verificar se existe padrão de realização de fusão das duas vogais finais e iniciais das duas palavras que compõem a expressão. Resultados indicam que essa economia linguística não ocorreu com entrevistados, embora tenha sido observada em falantes de outras regiões da Bahia.
