Palavras Vindas do Inglês com Sufixação em –ar: um estudo de casos no universo gamers

Abstract

Este artigo apresenta um estudo sobre palavras originadas do inglês que, ao receberem a sufixação "-ar", transformam-se em novos verbos no português, com base no universo dos gamers. Para realizar a pesquisa, foram feitas observações, levantamento e análise dos dados obtidos na plataforma de streaming de jogos Twitch. O estudo envolveu três tipos de observações: aceitabilidade, gramaticalidade e produtividade. Na construção do corpus da pesquisa, coletamos dados por meio de observações online em chats e da escuta de áudios durante jogos como League of Legends, Valorant (FPS - First Person Shooter) e Call of Duty: Warzone. Os verbos do corpus foram tabulados e descritos de seu respectivo significado, a partir dos dicionários Cambridge Word Routes (2007) e Dicionário Etimológico da Língua Portuguesa (2010). Por fim, os resultados foram descritos e analisados com o intuito de explorar respostas e conclusões para o tema investigado.
