This article aims to analyze the use of podcasts as a pedagogical strategy to develop oral skills and student protagonism in the early years of Elementary Education. The research, based on the BNCC, highlights the importance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in education. Through discussion circles with 5th-grade students from a rural school in Santa Maria/RS, a pedagogical project was organized to systematize the use of podcasts as a tool to promote oral expression and student protagonism. Preliminary results indicate that podcasts stimulate student engagement, argumentation, and oral expression, expand the integration of ICTs in education, and enhance students' active participation in knowledge construction.
