Monitoria como Dispositivo de Aprendizado para além da Teoria: o ensino aplicado à realidade

Abstract

Este artigo apresenta dados de pesquisa qualitativa desenvolvida durante o estágio de monitoria realizado em uma universidade pública do nordeste. Partimos do entendimento de que atuando como mediador na relação docente/discente, o monitor reforça conteúdos aprendidos, desenvolve competências pedagógicas e interpessoais. Assim, baseado em referenciais teóricos sobre ensino colaborativo e metodologias ativas, objetiva-se analisar a contribuição da monitoria na construção da aprendizagem significativa. Metodologicamente, os dados foram gerados por análise de relatos de monitores e alunos envolvidos. Os discursos apontam a monitoria como dispositivo de aprendizagem ativa, interativa e autorregulada, pois a cooperação acadêmica discente/docente desperta interesse pela carreira docente, aumenta taxas de sucesso, diminui a reprovação/evasão, promovendo inovação e motivação em sala de aula.
