Abstract

This article describes the projects developed by the Cultural Coordination Office of the Federal University of Grande Dourados – COC/PROEX/UFGD as artistic-cultural extension practices that meet the rights of Brazilian citizens regarding citizenship. These projects reinforce UFGD's public policy as a policy integrated with national plans for culture and education, in addition to meeting the georeferencing that underpins the concern for cultural diversity, and with culture as a defining element of identity, meeting a policy of permanence concerned with improving the lives of low-income populations, especially indigenous people and those in social vulnerability.
