The aim of this article is to present the perceptions of two mathematics educators with different lengths of teaching experience and how these mathematics educators reflect on and have been influenced by the ideas of Critical Mathematics Education (CME) and the article Scenarios for Inquiry by Ole Skovsmose. In this way, we recall the main themes and theorizations made by Skovsmose (2000), as well as presenting experiences of how these themes and theorizations have impacted our work as critical mathematics educators, presenting contributions based on Skovsmose's theorizations..
