Privacy and Digital Preservation Policy

User names and addresses provided to the journal’s system are used exclusively for purposes related to the editorial process and the publication of articles, and are not shared with third parties nor used for other purposes, in accordance with privacy and data protection standards.

The digital files of the Revista Tangram are stored and preserved across multiple platforms to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and longevity of the scientific collection. The journal’s digital preservation strategy includes the following measures:

  • Secure storage on the institutional servers of the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD).

  • Storage on the Open Journal Systems (OJS/PKP) platform, which maintains digital copies of the published content.

  • Deposits in virtual repositories of indexers and directories where the journal is indexed.

In addition to these local measures, the journal is in the process of integrating with the following internationally recognized digital preservation networks:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) — a decentralized system that ensures multiple copies of the content are preserved across partner libraries.

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) — a global preservation network dedicated to the long-term integrity of scientific records.

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) — a service provided by the Public Knowledge Project to guarantee decentralized preservation for journals using OJS.

These practices ensure that the published content remains accessible even in the event of technical failures, institutional changes, or temporary system unavailability.

The editorial team commits to periodically reviewing and updating its digital preservation strategies, ensuring compliance with international best practices and providing a stable, long-lasting, and reliable scientific archive.
