Abstract

Based on positions held within the university field as teachers, researchers, and extension workers, we have launched a research project that observes the statements of teachers and students, identifying significant signs of possible transformations. The rationale is the necessary identity transformation of academic teachers and students. We present the principles of a new research project, under which others will be articulated. The objective is to observe, select relevant events and critically analyse them, in order to focus on our own academic action, taken as its teacher training aspect at the university. As a result, we aim to establish theoretical guidelines and coherent criteria that will construct a proposal for a rule or measure to be implemented in the future, when actions with other students – pupils in basic education – will produce immeasurable effects, because we believe that, in terms of experience, what university teaching staff do with our students may condition what they will do with their pupils. The ways in which we conceive our own actions can act in favour of the production of a set of images, interconstitutive between students and university teachers, already benefited by the constitutions of other discourses, produced within the scope of university extension (Pêcheux, 2014; Geraldi, 1992).

Author Biography

Ludmila de Andrade, UFRJ

Full Professor of Teacher Education at the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She works on the theme of teacher training, particularly taking literacy teachers as her research subjects.
