In this text, we aim to present the contributions of Web 2.0 tools and active learning methodologies in the study of Educational Media for Mathematics Teaching, highlighting their significance for teacher education. We begin with the question: What are the contributions of using Web 2.0 tools in the training of mathematics teachers? We conducted an action research in Mathematics teacher training classes at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte. This methodology involved cycles of planning, action, observation moments, and analysis of the practices developed, making adjustments to the improvements needed throughout the process. Considering the continuous evolution of technologies, especially those connected to the internet, it becomes impractical to consider teacher training disconnected from this reality. Therefore, we need to reflect on the impact of information and communication technologies in the context of educational change and innovation. Through the use of Web 2.0 tools, we can personalize and contextualize the learning process, selecting activities that can be recombined and remixed according to the individual needs of each student, thus generating significant impacts on the training of mathematics teachers.
