This study investigated the perceptions of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) regarding the use of assistive technologies in educational contexts and the potential application of computer vision in such tools. The objective was to understand how autistic people use and perceive these technologies, identifying preferences and challenges to guide the development of more inclusive solutions. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight autistic adults, and the data were analyzed through thematic categories. The results indicate a preference for customizable tools, criticism of sensory barriers, and appreciation for the active involvement of users in technological development. It is concluded that computer vision has significant potential to promote inclusion, provided it is guided by collaborative practices centered on the real needs of autistic individuals.
