O Google Classroom na disciplina de Ciências: percepções, benefícios e desafios

Abstract

Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICTs) have played an increasingly relevant role in education, enabling new forms of teaching and learning. This study analyzed how Google Classroom can contribute to Science teaching in Elementary Education, based on a qualitative case study with 7th-grade classes from a public school in Santa Maria (RS). Pedagogical activities mediated by Google Classroom were implemented and integrated into face-to-face teaching, in line with the concept of hybrid education. Data collection was carried out through observation and an online questionnaire. The results showed that Google Classroom facilitated organization, enhanced communication, made classes more dynamic, and stimulated student engagement. The main challenges involved access to devices and digital literacy.

Andrea Ad Reginatto, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria

Professora Adjunta da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) e faz parte do Grupo de Investigações sobre Tecnologias, Ensino e Aprendizagem (GITEA). É docente dos cursos de Graduação em Letras da UFSM e do curso de Pós-Graduação em Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede. Atualmente está em estágio pós-doutoral na Universidade de Passo Fundo, sob supervisão da profa. Dra. Claudia Stumpf Toldo Oudeste. Foi professora da Faculdade Metodista de Santa Maria (FAMES) de agosto de 2001 até março de 2016. Coordenou o Curso de Letras Português/Espanhol na FAMES e a Coordenação Geral de Graduação na mesma instituição. Atuou como professora na Universidade Franciscana entre 2015 e 2016. Membro do do GT ANPOLL Discurso, Trabalho e Ética. Participou como representante do Centro de Artes e Letras UFSM do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da UFSM. Exerceu a função de Coordenadora Substituta do Pós-Graduação em Tecnologias Educacionais em Rede - Mestrado/ UFSM de agosto de 2021 a julho de 2023 e Coordena o Curso de Letras Português e Literaturas UAB/EaD/UFSM, desde outubro de 2019. Tem experiência na área de Linguística, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Enunciação e formação de professores, Ensino Mediado por Tecnologias Digitais e EaD.
