Abstract

Este estudo exploratório, analisou através de pesquisa de campo, a visão de moradores e gestores sobre a inclusão digital no município de Seropédica (baixada fluminense - RJ). A coleta de dados ocorreu com auxílio de questionários semiestruturados aplicados com 2 gestores municipais e 50 moradores de comunidades periféricas. Cerca de 88% dos munícipes possuem principalmente aparelho celular e 78% internet como TIC. Do total, 84% dependem do sinal de internet de terceiros e 90% possuem baixa renda. A TIC tem sido usada basicamente para condução de atividades rasas, que pouco agregam ao desenvolvimento educacional, cultural, econômico e conhecimentos relevantes dessas pessoas. Os resultados revelaram a necessidade da promoção de acesso às demais TICs e ao letramento digital dessa população, por meio de uma política pública de inclusão digital
