Abstract

This article aims at discussing the didactic experiences as far as a state
university course focused on the critical teaching and learning of foreign languages is concerned. From a pluralistic and critical perspective of language education, based on the principles of the Pedagogy of multiliteracies (COPE; KALANTZIS, 2000; 2015), the focus of the discussions presented in the text lies, fi rst of all, in theoretical and practical refl ections concerning the development of a digital learning object (OED) for the English Language course which is part of ProFIS (Interdisciplinary Higher Education Program) implemented at the named university in 2011. Besides, from a critical and discursive point of view, as proposed by Selwyn (2013; 2014) and Bachmair and Pachler (2014), the narratives and refl exions are linked to theoretical and practical discussions about digital educational technologies, aiming at the development of learning activities involving the OED created.
