O O Sionismo Evangélico e o apoio dos EUA a Israel durante o Governo Donald Trump

Em seu mandato, Donald Trump executou uma Política Externa fortemente pró-Israel. Parte relevante desse êxito pode ser atribuída à influência religiosa evangélica em seu governo. Este trabalho propõe uma análise da relação entre os seguintes atores: Estados Unidos, Governo Trump, evangélicos norte-americanos e o lobby pró-Israel; as justificativas da teologia protestante no apoio ao Estado de Israel e a maneira com que a sintonia desses atores proporcionou um avanço diplomático israelense pouco visto no presente século. Foi usado como referência o período entre 2017 e 2020. A conclusão do trabalho é de que a sintonia entre esses atores, aliada ao pragmatismo esperado do Estado de Israel, culminou em um modus operandi que favoreceu simultaneamente a atuação política de Tel-Aviv e um avanço significativo na agenda da direita cristã estadunidense.
