In 2023, the Faculty of Education at the Federal University of Goiás celebrated its 55th anniversary, while INTER-AÇÃO journal, the scientific journal of the university's Graduate Program in Education and the first academic journal in the state of Goiás, marked 48 years of continuous publication since 1975. The field of history of education gained prominence and established itself as a research area in the 1970s. In the 21st century, it has evolved into a solid academic discipline, advancing both theoretically and methodologically, expanding its scope, research objects, and, most notably, the ways in which research findings are presented. This study aims to survey and analyze the articles published in INTER-AÇÃO journal that focus on the History of Education between 1975 and June 2024. During this period, a total of 55 articles on the subject were identified. The findings indicate that these publications have reflected the theoretical and methodological advancements in the field, as evidenced by the form and content of the analyzed articles.
