Abstract

This article analyzes the concepts about digital technologies, keeping pace with its use in the teaching‐learning process. The text is an outline of the course of educational computing in Brazil and some other countries, from the research of Saraiva (1996), Perez and Silva (apud VALLE, 2013), and Vale and Almeida (apud GRISPUN, 2011), Kenski (2007), among others. About state computer programs in Brazil a detailed history report in terms of duration, epis‐ temological proposals, results and consequences of government initiatives, namely the educational policies is presented. Within these arguments, the arti‐ cle discusses the reception of programs and technological equipment for educa‐ tional institutions and discusses their use (or underuse) by teachers (QUARTIERO, apud VIEITEZ, BARONE, 2007). From this perspective it ponders conceptually over the integration of teachers, students and educational managers in facing government initiatives about education supported by digital methods. There is empirical grounding in research by Victor Civita Foundation and Gates Foundation on the topics listed.
