The teaching of classical literature faces challenges in the digital culture and frequent use of social media, which promote fragmented and superficial reading. This article presents a didactic experience with Senhora, by José de Alencar, conducted with a class of 25 students from the Technical Course in Agriculture integrated with High School at the Instituto Federal Catarinense (IFC). The objective was to bring students closer to the narrative and characters through the creation of social media profiles, fostering critical reading, creativity, and engagement. The activity included organization, production of profiles and memes, presentation, and application of a questionnaire. The results showed high student participation and satisfaction, with 100% reporting motivation and increased creativity. It was also observed that teacher mediation and the integration of digital technologies promoted a reconnection with classical literature, making the reading process more meaningful and relevant to the contemporary context. The practice indicates that pedagogical strategies combining literary tradition and digital culture can enhance learning and student engagement.
