Panorama Bibliométrico das Mídias Digitais na Educação de 2016 a 2025 e Hot Topics Emergentes
Keywords:
Educação e Mídias digitais, Bibliometria, hot topicsAbstract
This article investigates the international scientific production on digital media in education between 2016 and 2025. Its main objective is to quantitatively map this field by identifying authors, journals, countries, institutions, and the hot topics that have mobilized the academic community. The adopted methodology was bibliometrics, using the Web of Science database as the primary source. Data collection occurred in three stages: (1) a title-based search for the terms “digital media AND education,” limited to the selected period and English language; (2) identification of 20 core topics through keyword and title analysis; (3) application of these topics in a “topic” field search to obtain the number of publications and the h-b and m indices for each combination, enabling the classification of emerging and consolidated themes. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics (number of publications, subject areas, document types, languages, sources, and most productive authors) and bibliometric metrics (h-index, h-b, and m) to measure productivity, impact, and dynamism of the identified hot topics. The results reveal both emerging and consolidated trends, contributing to future research directions, strengthening collaborative networks, and supporting strategic decisions in educational and technological policies.
