A infância paulista nas propagandas de medicamentos inseridas na revista A Cigarra (1914 a 1930)

Abstract

Este artigo tem a perspectiva examinar como a infância foi tratada nas propagandas de medicamentos veiculadas na revista A Cigarra. As propagandas inseridas nos periódicos (jornais e revistas) de grande circulação na cidade de São Paulo, no período mencionado, apresentam diferentes facetas da infância. Cabe destacar, que nesse período a imprensa periódica paulista passa por um vigoroso processo de modernização, momento que se integra ao sistema capitalista em expansão. Esse artigo toma como fonte principal a revista A Cigarra, sendo examinadas as edições publicadas no período entre 1914, ano de sua fundação e 1930, data limite da investigação proposta.  Cabe ressaltar, que nesse período foram examinadas 355 edições dessa revista (março de 1914 a dezembro de 1930). Em relação à História e Historiografia da Infância foram tomados como aportes teóricos – Warde (2007), Heywood (2004), Kuhlmann Jr. (1998), Priore (1992), entre outros.
