Multissystemic approach and aspects of agreement in acquisition of written language
Keywords:
Multissystemic approach of language. Written language acquisition. Verbal agreement. Nominal agreement.Abstract
Our objective is to explore evidences of language as a complex multisystem (CASTILHO, 2009), in the field of written language acquisition. Two cases will be presented: one concerning issues of verbal agreement and, another, concerning nominal agreement, both qualitatively selected. Through signs of reelaboration and according to the anaphoric chain of the text, hypotheses are formulated about the different linguistic components (grammatical, semantic and discursive) triggered by the child, as the text is being written. Treating the agreement in the discursive/semantic field, within a cognitivefunctionalist theoretical frame, means to go beyond this phenomenon of the exclusive domain of grammar. Therefore, relating the multissystemic approach of language to the data is relevant, as some of the issues of its theoretical pertinence are made evident. Besides, it helps to organize theoretically the teachers and scholars involved in teaching the mother language, when they face unanticipated occurrences.Downloads
