The relationship between colonizer and colonized in The Adventures of Ngunga
Keywords:
Colonizer. Colonized. Identity.Abstract
This is an analysis of The Adventures of Ngunga by Pepetela, about a 13 year-old black orphan during the guerrillas for freedom in Angola, focusing on colonized x colonizer and black x white relationships and the issue of national identity, understanding the novel as a representation of society at the time, addressing the political situation in Angola at the time, relying on theories of Frantz Fenon, Kabengele Munanga and Tutikian about postcolonial literature, and Carlos Reis and his conceptions about literature and society and history.Downloads
