Abstract

The objective of this work is to describe the artistic-pedagogical process developed with non-actors, students of the extension project Theatrical Initiation Workshop, coordinated by me at the Federal University of Grande Dourados (MS), which resulted in the dramatization of the poem “Navio Negreiro”, by Castro Alves. The methodology involved the practice of theatrical games, body awareness exercises, improvisations, and stage production. Thus, it is concluded that the practice carried out reiterated the effectiveness of the above methods in the work of artistic initiation and non-professional staging.
