Leyendo La Inseguridad Internacional en Lugares Disonantes: Imaginarios Racializados en la Vida Cotidiana de Lapa, Río de Janeiro

Este artículo explora las dinámicas de la in/seguridad en el campo de los Estudios de In/Seguridad Internacional desde una perspectiva analítica sensible a las múltiples redes de relaciones, agentes, prácticas y objetos que constituyen los discursos sobre la alteridad racial e informan los procesos de racialización. Para ello, a partir de una revisión bibliográfica de fuentes secundarias, realizamos una revisión crítica de los Estudios de In/Seguridad clásicos y críticos con el fin de poner de manifiesto sus supuestos racializados y ofrecer formas más complejas de observar cómo las prácticas de in/seguridad emergen de las relaciones cotidianas. En segundo lugar, construimos un análisis de la in/seguridad racial basado en las nociones de raza como significante deslizante, la ambivalencia del discurso racial y de género y la complejización de la manifestación de la violencia a partir de relaciones simultáneas de proximidad y distancia. A partir de ahí, analizamos las dinámicas de revitalización y pacificación en Lapa, Río de Janeiro, para destacar las ambigüedades de la in/seguridad en la vida cotidiana. Al traer a este contexto las experiencias de las mujeres travestis de Lapa, demostramos tanto el imaginario racializado suscrito a las manifestaciones de violencia que sufren como las ambigüedades de sentirse inseguras en este espacio.
