Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format. The Tangram Template was used.
  • Citations and references follow the APA 6th Edition standard and the URLs for the references were informed when possible.
  • The text is in A4 size, text in Times New Roman 12 point font, 1.5 line spacing, 2.5 cm margins at the top, bottom and right side and 3.0 cm on the left side: 3.0 cm.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.
  • In case of submission to a peer-reviewed section (eg, articles), the instructions available in Ensuring blind peer review were followed.
  • All authors are registered in the OJS system, in the correct order of authorship and are duly identified by OrcID (if you do not have an OrcID click here, register and insert in the specific field of identification of the authors).
  • You confirm that you are the author and have the copyright, you also confirm that the content is original and previously unpublished and that you agree with the license terms.

Author Guidelines

Tangram accepts unpublished articles, written in Portuguese, English or Spanish.

Authors' articles linked to other institutions (outside UFGD) are prioritized.

Mandatory elements of the manuscript are:

  1. Title in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish) - It must be clear and objective without abbreviations and formulas that make it difficult to understand the content.
  2. Abstract in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish), must have between 100 and 150 words.
  3. Three keywords in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish).
  4. Introduction
  5. Text (Development)
  6. Acknowledgments (if applicable)
  7. References.

In the case of more than one author, the contributions of each author in the construction of the manuscript must be informed.

The manuscript must be sent in Microsoft Word file or compatible in doc format. Citations and references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th Edition standard (See a brief summary prepared by RAC here).

The maximum length of the manuscript is for article, theoretical essay and scientific initiation of 15 to 20 pages, for pedagogical experiences of 8 to 12 pages.

It should be formatted in A4 size, text in Times New Roman 12 point font, 1.5 line spacing, margins of 2.5 cm at the top, base and right side and 3.0 cm on the left side: 3.0 cm.

All pages of the manuscript must be numbered and contain a heading in Times New Roman 10 letters with an identification based on the title.

The images must be named according to the indication in the text, insert figure 1, insert photo 1, insert table 1 and sent in the main document, in pdf file formats, with a resolution of 300 dpi's. The use of images is the sole responsibility of the author (s).

As a rule of the Journal, we ask that only one file be sent without the name of the authors, accompanied by their images and graphics if they have them.

It is essential to register in the OJS system of all authors involved in the article, in the correct order of authorship, with the identification of the OrcID (if you do not have it click here OrcID).

The manuscript must not contain any indication of authorship, in order to allow blind peer review.
