Abstract

This essay aims to disscuss the implementation process of the politcs for African and Afro-Brazilian Culture and History Teaching in Santa Catarina, since the stablishment of Núcleo de Estudos Afrodescendentes (NEAD) and its material production. Among the sources for the writting of this study there are official documents (decrees and terms of reference about the African and Afro-Brazilian theme), pictures and interviews. It is a study consolidated on History of the Present Time, due to the issues that involve social demands and disputes for memory in the debates that arouses with the Law nº10. 639/03 enactment, which have caused an impact in educational projects in the last decades.

Karla Andrezza Vieira, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina

Graduada em História pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2001), mestre em Ensino de História pela UDESC (2016) e doutoranda do PPGH UDESC (ingresso em 2018). É Professora de História da Educação Básica do estado de Santa Catarina e bolsista UNIEDU/SC.
