Peer Review Process

Revista da ANPEGE relies on a group of reviewers listed on its Editorial Board, as well as on ad hoc reviewers invited based on their field of expertise and specific knowledge relevant to each submission.

Manuscripts are sent to two reviewers. In the event of conflicting reviews, the manuscript is referred to a third reviewer.

Submissions containing highly specialized content (such as extensive statistical analysis or intensive use of geoprocessing techniques) may also be referred to a third specialist.

Articles are evaluated under a blind peer-review system.

Authors retain the right to submit their manuscript to another journal if it is rejected during the peer review process of this journal.

Ensuring Blind Review Integrity

To ensure the integrity of the blind peer review process, all necessary precautions must be taken to prevent the disclosure of authors' and reviewers' identities during evaluation. This requires authors, editors, and reviewers (who may upload documents to the system as part of the review process) to observe the following measures:

Authors must remove their names from the manuscript, replacing them with "Author" and the year in references and footnotes.

In Microsoft Office documents, author identification must be removed from the document properties (File > Properties), following the sequence: File > Save As > Tools (or Options on Mac) > Security Options > Remove personal information from file properties on save > OK > Save.

In PDF files, authors' names must also be removed from the Document Properties in Adobe Acrobat's File menu.
