Abstract

O artigo examina o problema do reconhecimento de títulos de Mestrado e Doutorado provenientes dos países do MERCOSUL, cada vez mais crescente no Brasil a partir da proliferação de cursos stricto sensu nos demais países do bloco. O estudo conclui que o acordo firmado pelo Brasil no âmbito do MERCOSUL não exclui a exigência de revalidação nacional dos títulos de Mestrado e Doutorado, nos termos da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação.

Pós-Doutor em Direito Internacional pela Universidade de Lisboa. Doutor summa cum laude em Direito Internacional pela UFRGS e Mestre em Direito Internacional pela UNESP. Coordenador do Mestrado em Direito Agroambiental da UFMT. É autor, dentre outros, das obras O controle juridicional da convencionalidade das leis (São Paulo: RT, 2009), Tratados internacionais de direitos humanos e direito interno (São Paulo: Saraiva, 2010) e Curso de direito internacional público (5. ed. rev., atual. e ampl. São Paulo: RT, 2011). É líder do Grupo de Estudos CNPq de Direito Internacional Público, vinculado à UFMT.
