O artigo tem como objetivo estudar e analisar a política externa do período político conhecido no Brasil como Estado Novo (1937-1945). Buscamos assim determinar quais são as suas principais linhas de atuação, bem como seus condicionantes internos e externos. O texto destaca a extensão para a política externa, das demandas internas propostas pelo Estado como a necessidade da industrialização do país e a urgência da modernização das forças armadas para garantir a soberania nacional, ambas imbuídas da retórica nacionalista, característica notável do Estado Novo.Downloads
