As produções teóricas relativas à História das Mulheres e os estudos de gênero, encontra-se ligada ao movimento de renovação da própria história que, distanciando-se da história tradicional de cunho positivista que se impôs no século XIX, se voltava a preocupar por traçar um caminho interessado muito mais pelos coletivos que pelos individuais, pela evolução da sociedade que pelas instituições, pelos costumes que pelos acontecimentos, pelas coletividades excluídas do que pelos grandes personagens. As mulheres nunca estiveram ausentes da história, embora a historiografia oficial as tenha esquecido. No decorrer da história há uma relação entre gênero e poder que precisa ser estudada, revelada, reescrita, pois a história tradicional, moderna, colonial-patriarcal e universalizante criou o mito do sexo frágil, da impotência feminina e da sua dependência existencial do masculino.Downloads
