Abstract

The historical narrative, that as has been presented us in western culture, represents a model androcêntrico the making of history and, consequently, relegated women to a role of invisibility and silencing. The female figure was built as a model of submission and desimportância, being treated as an object that should act on the campus of the private. Reflect on the paths of the historiography up to the consolidation of a History of Women implies to recognize them as subjects of History, and deconstruct the vision that privileges masculinity as the ideal model to be revered. The development of the new cultural history ally to feminism, and new scientific paradigms have contributed to the inclusion of women in the study of History as a subject that actively participated in the construction historical.
