Abstract

Em 2013, o transporte de cargas movimentadas pelo modal aéreo representou aproximadamente 1/3 do valor total do comércio internacional. No Brasil, a movimentação de cargas domésticas (nacionais) teve um crescimento médio anual de 50% entre os anos de 2004 e 2013 e as empresas aéreas TAM, Gol e ABSA lideraram a movimentação de cargas domésticas no Brasil. Já para as cargas internacionais as empresas aéreas estrangeiras registraram o maior percentual, sendo o principal fluxo (origem e destino) para os Estados Unidos da América, seguido por Alemanha e Argentina. No Brasil, o modal aéreo representa 0,03% (em toneladas) do total de cargas, sendo a principal ponte aérea cargueira os aeroportos de Guarulhos/SP e Manaus/AM. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho tem como proposta a compreensão da dinâmica movimentação de cargas nacionais e internacionais, a orientação de seus fluxos (origem/destino) e as estratégias logísticas adotadas pelas companhias aéreas no transporte de cargas. A metodologia foi pautada em revisão de artigos e revistas científicas, análise de dados estatísticos e entrevistas com agentes públicos e privados.
