An analysis of the scenario and political options for Latin America and the Caribbean is presented, based on the assessment of the essential contradictions of a large-scale and broad-spectrum geopolitical conflict that has been located in the region in recent decades, which has led to a cycle of instability, which has produced a tendency towards short-term variability in the political cartography of the continent. Based on the critical assessment of data and information collected and processed through sources such as books and specialized magazines, reports from national and supranational organizations, reports and news, and a reading and integration of the context based on historical-geographical materialism, the current historical time is recognized as a bifurcation point in which it will be defined whether Latin America and the Caribbean accentuates its subordination to metropolitan powers, or failing that, carries out an integration process that would facilitate a new era of political self-determination, which due to its significance it would change in terms of insertion in global political geography, within the framework of the extensive, dense and complex cycle of systemic instability that has been unleashed in the region due to the structural crisis of the capital system and global geopolitical conflicts.
