Abstract

This article is a result of research on the discursive practices privileged in contracts for teachers in Higher Education, and deputy or assistant, developed in 2010. The sources were analyzed if used in discourse analysis, with the French tradition, in dialogue with the History of the Present Time. The results show that there is no question the competence or capability of the candidates, as the immediate sense reading of the notices raises, but we are at the present time, faced with choices among professionals with a degree in history who decided to search for specific topics of education or those who chose to remain in history with other subjects unrelated to teaching. This finding points to a memory of "long term" in the senses on teacher training.
