Abstract

This article describes the internship practice and its continued performance in the research and extension project: Mother-baby relationship. Based on this practice, developed in conjunction with the basic internship in Psychology, the intern's skills and competencies were analyzed, in light of the curricular guidelines for the training of psychologists. The actions developed in this internship proved to be effective in developing skills focused on health care, decision-making, communication, leadership, administration and management, and continuing education.
