Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not under evaluation for publication by another journal; otherwise, you should justify it in "Comments to editor".
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
- URLs for the references were given when possible.
- The text is 1.5-spaced; uses a 12-point font; Calibri; employs italics instead of underlining (except in URL addresses); figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of appendices.
- The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Author Guidelines, on the About the Journal page.
- In case of submission to a section with peer review (e.g., articles), the instructions available at Securing blind peer review have been followed.

The authors prepared the article using the Template available on the platform, which contains the rules of RBClima.
- The authors are aware that the article will undergo a first evaluation phase if it does not meet the basic standards contained in the Template, will be sent back to the authors for adaptation.
- Authors are aware that submissions of articles in a foreign language (English, Spanish or French) must be accompanied by a declaration that the text has been duly reviewed by a professional and/or it must be indicated which author(s) of the manuscript have full command of the language and were responsible for the translation.

The authors are aware that foreign language articles must be accompanied by a copy in Portuguese at the time of the submissão, the measure aims to make the magazine bilingual and broaden its access.

The approval of articles implies the immediate and unencumbered acceptance that the Revista Brasileira de Climatologia will have exclusivity in the first publication of the article. The authors will, nevertheless, continue to hold the copyrights. The authors also authorize that their articles be made available in all the indexers to which the journal is linked.
The authors retain their unrestricted publication rights.
The Editorial Board is not responsible for the concepts or statements expressed in the published papers, which are the sole responsibility of the authors.
The Revista Brasileira de Climatologia offers immediate free access to its contents, following the understanding that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater democratization of knowledge and tends to produce greater impact of the published articles. The articles published in the journal are made available under the Creative Commons License CC-BY-NC 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). According to this license it is allowed to access, distribute and reuse the articles for non-commercial purposes as long as the authors and the source are cited. By submitting articles to the Revista Brasileira de Climatologia, the authors agree to make their texts legally available under this license.
