Entre o religioso e o secular: a espiritualidade em um mundo sem religião

Este artigo discute um aspecto da dinâmica do campo religioso contemporâneo dentro do qual, apesar da religião continuar a ser um domínio fundamental da sociedade, cada vez mais indivíduos se autoidentificam como “sem religião” ou “espirituais, mas não religiosos”. A proposta é empreender uma análise teórica que, por suspeitar dos usos acadêmicos e leigos das categorias de religião e irreligião, faz da reflexão sobre eles o ponto de partida para discutir as relações entre o que é considerado religioso e o que fica classificado às suas margens. Nesse sentido, o trabalho pretende contribuir com uma problematização sociológica dos processos de definição dos significados e de elaboração das fronteiras entre as noções de religião e espiritualidade.
