Um panorama da obra de Georg Simmel: teoria sociológica e teoria da cultura

Abstract

O presente artigo trata sobre a teoria sociológica e a teoria da cultura desenvolvida pelo filósofo e sociólogo alemão Georg Simmel (1858-1918) a partir da interpretação de algumas de suas principais obras. O trabalho apresenta uma análise do interesse pela obra do autor, fazendo um levantamento acerca das traduções brasileiras de suas obras. Em seguida, sua teoria sociológica é analisada a partir da incursão do autor na Sociologia, abordando duas de suas principais obras nessa área. A teoria da cultura é examinada partindo da noção de aventura, culminando com a análise do seu interesse por temas relacionados aos elementos da vida moderna.

Luis Afonso Salturi, Secretaria de Estado da Educação - Estado do Paraná

Bacharel e Licenciado em Ciências Sociais, Mestre, Doutor e Pós-Doutor em Sociologia. Tem experiência como docente no Ensino Básico, Técnico e Superior, nas modalidades presencial e à distância. Como pesquisador, tem conhecimento nas áreas da Sociologia e da Antropologia. É autor de artigos científicos em periódicos dessas áreas.
