Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • Antes da submissão, todos os campos do perfil solicitados foram preenchidos adequadamente, contendo as informações imprescindíveis para o processo de avaliação e edição dos originais, caso forem aceitos. Os/as autores/as entendem que caso o Perfil não esteja completa e devidamente preenchido seus trabalhos serão devolvidos e/ou arquivados. A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista.

  • Os arquivos para submissão estão em formato Microsoft Word (desde que não ultrapassem 2MB)
  • URLs para as referências foram informadas quando necessário.

  • O texto segue as seguintes normas: Fonte Times New Roman, tamanho 12, alinhamento justificado. Espaçamento entre linhas 1,5, margens superior e esquerda 3,0 cm e inferior e direita 2,0 cm.  O título deverá ser escrito com base nas configurações estabelecidas no Template - seja artigo ou resenha. O nome do autor deve estar preenchido com a palavra "Autor", e o rodapé, que constam demais informações como a instituição, titulação e e-mail, deverá ser preenchido com a frase "Resumo da Biografia", entendendo que essas informações foram adequadamente preenchidas no perfil da revista, e serão incluídas no texto pelos editores caso o trabalho seja aprovado para publicação. Deverão ser evitadas notas de rodapé no corpo do texto, utilizadas quando estritamente necessárias e de maneira sucinta. O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na seção Sobre a Revista.

  • O texto atende às Políticas de Anti-Plágio da revista MovimentAção, isto é, antes da submissão do trabalho os/as autores/as utilizaram sites e/ou programas gratuitos para verificação de ocorrência de plágio, cujo resultado foi a ausência total de conteúdo plagiado em todo o corpo do texto. Além disso, os/as autores/as ficam cientes que caso seja verificado plágio após a publicação do trabalho, que o mesmo será imediatamente excluído dos arquivos da revista, e um informe será publicado no número subsequente à exclusão explicitando a natureza do ocorrido.
  • A identificação de autoria do trabalho foi removida do arquivo e da opção Propriedades no Word, garantindo desta forma o critério de sigilo da revista, caso submetido para avaliação por pares (ex.: artigos), conforme instruções disponíveis em Assegurando a Avaliação Cega por Pares.

Author Guidelines

Before any submission, the authors must fill in all the profile fields requested properly, under penalty of the works being returned / filed. Therefore, make sure that the Profile contains the essential information for the original evaluation and editing process, if accepted.

MovimentAção journal will consider for publication original works in the form of articles, interviews, previous research notes, reviews and abstracts of theses and dissertations. Eventually, thematic dossiers will be organized and will receive papers in article format, respecting the journal's policies and guidelines.

Articles: should have between twelve and twenty-five pages and have a summary of a maximum of 250 words (in single spacing) and three keywords, in addition to the title, summary and key words required in English and Spanish and, optionally, other languages.

To submit articles, download and use the Article Template from MovimentAção magazine. Its use is mandatory.

 

Interviews: must have a maximum of ten pages.

Previous Notes: the previous notes should include the description of a theoretical-methodological framework. They should have a maximum of ten pages and a summary of a maximum of 250 words (in single spacing) and three keywords.

Reviews: works published no more than ten (10 years). They should have three to five pages and should not contain a title, only the complete reference of the reviewed work (does not contain a summary).

To submit reviews, download and use the Review Template from MovimentAção journal. Its use is mandatory.

Thesis and dissertation abstracts: must contain a maximum of twenty pages, and have a summary of a maximum of 250 words and three keywords.

 

All texts must be typed in Times New Roman font, size 12, justified alignment. Line spacing 1.5, top and left margins 3.0 cm and bottom and right 2.0 cm. The title should be written based on the settings established in the Template - either article or review. The author's name must be filled in with the word "Author", and the footer, which contains other information such as the institution, title and e-mail, must be filled in with the phrase "Biography Summary", understanding that this information was properly filled in the journal's profile, and will be included in the text by the editors if the work is approved for publication. Footnotes in the body of the text, used when strictly necessary and succinctly, should be avoided.

Languages: The journal accepts papers in Portuguese, Spanish, Guarani and English.

Quotes:

Indirect citations will be integrated into the text, along with identification (Author / Year of publication). Short direct quotes (up to three lines) will be included in the body of the text, in quotation marks, presenting the identification (Author, Year of publication, Indication of the page). Long direct quotations (more than three lines) will be separated from the text, indented 4 cm to the right, presenting the identification (Author, Year of publication, Indication of the page), with single spacing.

Bibliographic references: should be placed in single spacing.

Periodicals: SURNAME, Name. Title of the article. Title of the journal in bold. City \ State: publisher, vol., Issue, p. x-y, year.

Ex: ARAÚJO, Joel. The black in dramaturgy, an exemplary case of the decay of the myth of Brazilian racial democracy. Feminist Studies Magazine. Santa Catarina: UFSC, vol.16 n. 3, p. 979-985, 2008.

 

Images: images can be published as long as the sources are cited and with the appropriate authorizations, in accordance with the current legislation. The publication of images is conditioned to its technical feasibility.

Other situations must follow the ABNT rules. In case of doubts about the rules for the different formats that MovimentAção publishes, the works published in previous editions should be considered as models.

If the work or research has financial support it must be mentioned.

Copyright Notice

Authors must accept the publication rules when submitting the journal, as well as agree to the following terms:

(a) The Editorial Board reserves the right to make changes to the Portuguese language in the originals to maintain the cultured standard of the language, while respecting the style of the authors.

(b) Authors retain the copyright and grant the journal the right to first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Brazil (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 BR) that allows: Share - copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format and Adapt - remix, transform, and create from the material. CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 BR considers the following terms:

  1. Attribution - You must give the appropriate credit, provide a link to the license and indicate whether changes have been made. You must do so under any reasonable circumstances, but in no way that would suggest that the licensor supports you or your use.
  2. NonCommercial - You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
  3. Sharing - If you remix, transform, or create from material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
  4. No additional restrictions - You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything that the license permits.

(c) After publication, authors are allowed and encouraged to publish and distribute their work online - in institutional repositories, personal page, social network or other scientific dissemination sites, as long as the publication is not for commercial purposes.
