A insuficiência da crítica: o déficit analítico das Escolas Críticas de Segurança em relação ao Sul Global

Resumo

Este artigo retoma a evolução do debate sobre Segurança Internacional para analisar as chamadas Escolas Críticas de Segurança. Por meio desta reconstrução, que em um primeiro momento analisa as abordagens tradicionais dos Estudos de Segurança para depois compreender os posteriores estudos críticos, pretende-se avaliar os méritos de tais correntes. Nessa égide, entende-se por meritórias algumas das intenções propostas por estas escolas que rompem com o tradicionalismo dos Estudos de Segurança; contudo, evidenciam-se algumas insuficiências no que tange uma crítica mais profunda. O problema central apontado é a cegueira que a agenda securitária ainda possui em relação ao Sul Global, sendo que o presente artigo enfatiza, para fins analíticos, a América Latina e o Brasil. Enfim, propõe-se uma crítica da crítica, no que se defende um aprofundamento metateórico àqueles preocupados em compreender as dinâmicas securitárias latino-americanas.
