Abstract

The review addresses the book The Political Economy of the Investment Treaty Regime, co-authored by Jonathan Bonnitcha, Lauge N. Skovgaard Poulsen and Michael Waibel. The authors explore the main characteristics of the Investment Treaty Regime, a legal framework formed by investment treaties, procedural rules and awards of arbitral tribunals. A renewed movement of criticism and reforms reinforces the relevance of studying the topic.
