Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format.
  • Citations and references follow the APA 6th Edition standard and the URLs for the references were informed when possible.
  • The text is in A4 size, text in Times New Roman 12 point font, 1.5 line spacing, 2.5 cm margins at the top, bottom and right side and 3.0 cm on the left side: 3.0 cm.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.
  • In case of submission to a peer-reviewed section (eg, articles), the instructions available in Ensuring blind peer review were followed.
  • All authors are registered in the OJS system, in the correct order of authorship and are duly identified by OrcID (if you do not have an OrcID click here, register and insert in the specific field of identification of the authors).
  • You confirm that you are the author and have the copyright, you also confirm that the content is original and previously unpublished and that you agree with the license terms.

Author Guidelines

1.1 Papers (articles, essays, reviews, case studies, expanded abstracts) must be sent exclusively by OJS (Open Journal Systems), through the link:

in “.doc”, “.odt” or compatible format, without identifying the author (s), both in the body of the manuscript and in the file properties. For assistance in registering the SEER can be accessed

1.2. Only articles whose author (s) has a master's and / or doctor's or master's and / or doctorate's degree will be accepted. Therefore, undergraduates, bachelors and lato sensu specialists can send articles, provided that they are co-authored with a master and / or doctor or master's and / or doctoral student. Authors' articles linked to other institutions (outside UFGD) are prioritized.


1.3 The work must be presented in the following format:

- Size - A4 (210 x 297mm);

- Top Margin - 3.0 cm;

- Bottom margin - 2.0 cm;

- Left margin - 3.0 cm;

- Right margin - 2.0 cm;

- Line spacing: from the Introduction, the entire body of the text must be typed in 1.5 spacing. The space is simple in the footnotes, in the highlighted quotes (with more than 3 lines) and in the References;

- Font type: Times New Roman, normal style, black color;

- Font size: 12 pt for the body of the work and 10 pt for the Abstract, footnotes and in the highlighted quotations in the margin; 14 pt font for the title;

- Paragraphs: should start at 2.0 cm from the left margin of the text.

- The article must contain at least 15 (fifteen) and at most 30 (thirty) pages; the excess of more or less 5 pages from the previous limits will be decided by the evaluator of the article.

- Footnotes may be used at the discretion of the author, only in the form of explanatory notes. All citations must be made according to the Author-Data system, in accordance with APA 6th Edition standards, according to the standard of scientific publications.

1.4 The work must be presented in the following sequence:

- Title of the work, in the original language and below in the second language;

- Summary and Keywords, in the original language and just below in the second language;

- Introduction;

- Development;

- Conclusions or Final Considerations;

- Text with explanatory or remissive footnotes;

- References (only of the works mentioned in the body of the text); adopt APA 6th Edition standards (Author-data system)

1.5 The first page must include:

a) Titles (in the language of the article and in the foreign language), centered, in capital letters, font 14 pt, in bold;

b) ABSTRACT: the text must be accompanied by a summary in the language in which it was written, placed after the title of the work, and its translation into a second language (Spanish, French, Italian, German or English). The abstract cannot exceed the limit of 250 words.

The words “ABSTRACT” (or equivalent in the second language) must be capitalized, followed by a colon, three lines below the author's name, without indentation. In the same line, start the abstract text;

c) Keywords - in the language used in the article and in the second language - at least three (3) and at most five (5).

1.6 Tables, illustrations (photographs, drawings, graphs, etc.) and annexes must be ready to be printed, within the general pattern of the text and in the space provided by the author (s). For annexes that constitute texts already published, include a complete bibliography as well as permission from the editors for publication, as long as the maximum page limit already established is respected.

1.7 Subtitles: justified, in capital letters, numbered in Arabic number; the numbering does not include the Introduction, Final Considerations and References.

1.8 Bibliographic indications in the body of the text must be made according to the Author-data system, observing the APA 6th Edition standards.

1.9 References: the word REFERENCES in capital letters, aligned to the left. References cited in the text must comply with APA 6th Edition standards.

1.10 The name (s) of the author (s), institution to which they belong, e-mail, postal address, contact numbers, summary of the biography, known languages, must be included in the author's initial registration at SEER - Electronic Magazine Editing System, and also in the “Step 2” fields of SEER, in the process of submitting papers.

Scientific Articles

Scientific articles, necessarily, have the objective of presenting the results of a research for the scientific exchange and socialization of knowledge through publication in journals. The publication of articles is a key element in the process of producing knowledge in a given area of knowledge.

Dossiê Direitos Humanos, Educação e Pessoas com Deficiência

O dossiê almeja reunir contribuições inéditas que abordem, a partir de diferentes
perspectivas teórico-metodológicas, as relações entre Direitos Humanos, Educação e
Pessoas com Deficiência. Nessa direção, são apresentadas três linhas temáticas para
articulação do dossiê:
a) Pessoas com Deficiência, Inclusão e Direitos Humanos;
b) Educação em Direitos Humanos;
c) Direitos Humanos, Pessoas com Deficiência e Meio Ambiente.
Espera-se congregar um conjunto de artigos, nos formatos de relato de pesquisa,
ensaio teórico ou revisão da literatura, que permita complexificar a compreensão dos
cenários, das situações, das problematizações e das potencialidades da tríade Direitos
Humanos, Educação e Pessoas com Deficiência.
