Abstract

Este artigo aborda acontecimentos ocorridos no sul do estado de Mato Grosso logo após o golpe de 31 de março de 1964 que mergulhou o país num período conhecido como ditadura militar. Período de grande embate político ideológico o país posicionou-se ao lado dos Estados Unidos no combate ao comunismo, no confronto bipolar imposto pela Guerra Fria. Este período, marcado pela forte repressão aos movimentos de resistência ao regime nas regiões do país, também no sul de Mato Grosso foi marcado por apoio civil, prisões e perseguições a políticos e civis.
