Indigenous Peoples in a Collection of Didactic Books

The article presents a qualitative research and was configured as a document analysis study, specifically aimed at investigating the textual and imaginary production about indigenous nations in the textbook collection “History, society & citizenship”, by the author Alfredo Boulos Júnior, published by the FTD publisher, approved in the National Textbook Program (PNLD, 2018), for the curriculum component History, high school stage. The path taken to guide the research in the elucidation of the proposed question was initially to carry out the survey, selection, study, elaboration of records and bibliography annotations (books, articles) concerning the research theme. In the second moment, proceed with a systematic reading and study of the chapters of the three books that make up the didactic collection “History, society & citizenship”, by the author Alfredo Boulos Júnior, from the High School stage, identifying the texts and images that present the theme of history and culture of indigenous peoples.
