Abstract

As fronteiras têm passado por ricas e intensas modificações desde o último quartel do século passado. Há um visível dinamismo nas fronteiras, provocado pela intensificação das trocas mercantis nesse período de globalização e, por efeito, tem acelerado a comunicação entre os povos e as trocas culturais. A porosidade, as ambiguidades, as contradições, a permeabilidade e a mutabilidade têm sido a marca desse território. A intenção deste artigo é fazer uma reflexão crítica com base na orientação conceitual do espaço geográfico e na categoria território e, ao mesmo tempo, avançar no desenho de uma tipologia de relações fronteiriças
