Abstract

Novaiorquino do Bronx, Edward William Soja faleceu aos 75 anos em Los Angeles, cidade onde viveu a maior parte de sua vida profissional e que tomou como laboratório e referencial para seus estudos na geografia. Sua opção por esta disciplina se deu desde muito jovem, como relata no texto autobiográfico publicado no Brasil, pela Anpege.
