Abstract

The Semiarid region of Minas Gerais is a complex region that presents a series of socioeconomic and environmental challenges. This review proposes a comprehensive analysis of issues related to the Semiarid region of Minas Gerais, exploring its location, human development, land use, agriculture, environmental aspects, and social issues. By examining historical and contemporary data, we seek to identify patterns and dynamics that permeate the region, providing important information for public policies and sustainable development practices.
