Author Biography

Eduardo Salinas Chavez, Universidad de La Habana - CubaUniversidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS)

Licenciado en Geografía (1976) y Doctor en Geografía (1991) por la Universidad de La Habana, Especialidad en Ecological Approaches to Resources Development. Land Management and Impact Assessment in developing countries por la Universidad Técnica de Dresden, Alemania (1985-1986), Master en Gestión Turística para el Desarrollo Local y Regional por la Universidad de Barcelona (2003) y Posdoctorado en Geografía por la Universidad Federal da Grande Dourados, MS, Brasil (2015-2018). Profesor Titular de la Universidad de La Habana. Profesor y tutor en varios programas de maestría y doctorado en América Latina y Europa. Tiene publicados más de 130 artículos científicos, 50 libros y capítulos de libros. Ha dirigido 8 tesis de doctorado y 35 de maestría y participado en más 200 eventos científicos. Se especializa en Geoecología, Ordenación del Territorio y Turismo. Actualmente es Profesor Visitante Extranjero en la Universidad Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, Campus Três Lagoas, MS, Brasil.
