The Formula of Love
Boolean Operators and the Logical Syntax Underlying Conjugality

This study investigates the logical syntax underlying conjugality, integrating Ziviani's (2009) psychometric methodology with evolutionary psychology and game theory frameworks. Thirty-three couples (N=66) were assessed using the Interpersonal Circumplex Self-Classification Form (I3). Data analysis involved decomposing inter-spouse products (attitudes and perceptions) into Boolean matrices, enabling the identification of logic gates operating within dyadic dynamics. Results indicated that 62.59% of interactions are based on agreement, replicating the structural stability proposed in the literature. Segmented analysis revealed distinct syntaxes: the Affiliation domain operates under Tautology logic (absolute mutual validation), whereas the Control domain is governed by Disjoint Negation (NAND) (mutual exclusion of dominance). We conclude that conjugality functions as a latent variable organizing intersubjectivity, alternating between affective identity and power complementarity to ensure stable cooperation.
