A frequência aos museus: Uma análise à luz da teoria de Pierre Bourdieu
Abstract
Este artigo discute a importância da sociologia de Pierre Bourdieu para a compreensão dos fatores que levam os indivíduos a frequentarem os museus. A sociologia bourdieusiana, atribui um papel de destaque a dimensão simbólica e cultural na produção e reprodução das estruturas de dominação. O objetivo deste texto é analisar a relação entre frequência a museus, habitus, capital cultural e grau de escolaridade dos indivíduos. Deste modo, amparada na sociologia da educação de Pierre Bourdieu a problemática apresentada tem a intenção de contribuir para ampliar o debate sobre o acesso do público aos bens culturais, principalmente os museus.
