O papel do ensino de Sociologia para construção de identidades
Abstract
Este artigo está relacionado a uma pesquisa (Projeto de Mestrado em Educação, que foi desenvolvido na UFGD entre 2012 e 2014, na Linha de Pesquisa Educação, Inclusão e Diversidade, com apoio da Capes) que teve como tema central a discussão sobre a contribuição do ensino de Sociologia para a construção de identidades regionais, sobretudo, como disciplina inserida no currículo para escolas de educação básica. Assim, neste recorte, inicialmente, é realizada uma reflexão sobre identidade, estabelecendo discussões sobre seu conceito e construção. Para isso, referenciamos autores como Anthony Giddens e Pierre Bourdieu, abordando temas como a categorização e a identidade social. Na sequência, é proposta uma análise da contribuição do ensino de sociologia para a construção de identidades. Assim, são apresentados os objetivos que constam nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais para o Ensino Médio (PCN’s), realizando uma reflexão sobre as competências e habilidades do ensino de Sociologia na educação básica. Tendo em vista que, a sociologia foi inserida na educação básica para ajudar o aluno a desenvolver o olhar crítico sobre a sua realidade e também sobre a sociedade.
